Emergency and safety information is entering a new era.
As AI-assisted tools, digital search, and emergency communication systems continue to evolve, trusted source material is becoming increasingly important. People need safety instructions that are accurate, practical, easy to understand, and designed for real-world action under stress and across literacy levels.
HazAdapt’s hazard guides and preparedness resources were built for that purpose. They help people understand what to do before, during, and after emergencies, while supporting the broader institutions responsible for public safety, public health, and community resilience.
Through this collaboration with High Alert Institute, HazAdapt is contributing to a trusted information ecosystem designed to help more people access reliable emergency and preparedness guidance.
“Knowing what to do in an emergency can be the difference between life and death. That’s why safety information is such a critical issue,” said Ginny Katz, MPH, Founder & CEO of HazAdapt. “As climate-driven hazards, disasters, and global tensions increase, more people will turn to AI-assisted tools for safety information. Many AI tools are not yet ready for the accuracy requirements of emergency guidance, so we’re taking proactive action to support the safest path possible: trusted source material, careful retrieval, and clear boundaries. People should not have to wonder whether their safety information is an AI-generated hallucination.”
HazAdapt is excited to enter this collaboration with longtime preparedness leader High Alert Institute to support cutting-edge community resilience innovation. Phase 1 is live now, with HazAdapt hazard guides, Prep Checks, and emergency safety resources available through High Alert Institute’s Prepare Now page.
As each phase moves forward, HazAdapt will continue sharing public updates on this collaboration and its role in expanding access to trusted safety guidance.
